I believe myself to be a respectable, serious and moral person, and I could never revile you! I am crying with you…I don’t suppose as an unbaptized atheist I would count as a United Methodist, but it is the church I was dragged to each week as a small child. It was an okay experience, but this pretty much negates every positive memory. None of these people should legitimately call themselves Christians, whether they’re leaders or simply parishioners who continue to support their religion, but I don’t suppose that makes you feel any better. I don’t know what to say except that it isn’t you at all, it’s their own narrow minds and hateful natures driving this.
