There is so much I could respond to here, but let me just say this: please don’t deny yourself the possibility of falling in love! Don’t let your illnesses keep you from living your life to the fullest extent possible. Yes, it might be harder to find someone willing to take those things on, but there are definitely people who will — and as long as you are up front about it, the decision should be their choice. One of my favorite people was dating a guy when he was diagnosed with liver cancer. Much of their courtship was in a hospital, and even though the prognosis wasn’t great she married him anyway. I think he ended up dying before their first anniversary, but she loved him dearly and she wouldn’t have changed a thing. So, don’t try to decide for someone else; you are a wonderful person and some lucky young woman should have the chance to find out.
