Well done! Personally, I would say — one can call these things distractions, one might also call them conflicting interests. Either way, one’s moral compass should help a person prioritize these things. My brother is a rich white Republican dude who really likes what he thinks (I don’t agree) Trump has done for the economy, and he’s even a bit of a racist, but he knew better than to vote for Trump and he still speaks of him with disdain. My brother and I fight constantly about politics and social issues, but he does get most of the basic stuff right. Shame on Tova.
